Yes you can. It is quite easy. Let's say you want your VIP attendees to have golden badges. 

Ok, so first let's create a new badge type for your VIPs.

I then select All attendees who don't fit in other badges to exclude all attendees who don't have conditions. This way I avoid having multiple badge types for one attendee. 

Now let's add a big VIP text to the badge and let's make it golden. 

I want the rectangle in the bottom to be golden too.

Let's generate a preview.
