On the badge editor. To order by another variable, click on the Preview button, then change the Badge Sorting setting.

If you have already generated a PDF document then on the printing dashboard click on Change page layout, then change the Badge Sorting setting. 

You need to regenerate the file to apply this new sorting scheme.
